Mr. Wallace has enjoyed a successful career as a director, producer and senior producer at the news magazines ABC News 20/20 and at CBS News 60 Minutes II. His body of work has garnered most of the major broadcast journalism awards – among them: the George Foster Peabody Award, The Edward R Murrow Award, The Teddy Award, The Gavel Award, The Wrangler Award, The Investigative Reporters Award, several Cine Golden Eagle Awards, two dozen National News and Documentary Emmy nominations and seven Emmy wins for outstanding reporting in a variety of categories.
He was on the teams that launched some of the most critically acclaimed and longest running news shows on record: ABC News 20/20, CBS News 60 Minutes II, Barbara Walters Ten Most Fascinating People of the Year and many of Walter’s Special broadcasts.
Working for part of the last two decades as Senior Producer with Barbara Walters, Mr. Wallace produced dozens of exclusive news-making interviews – among them: the man who killed John Lennon, His Holiness the Dalai Lama at his home in Dharmsala, India, an exclusive interview with Syria’s president - Bashar al-Assad and an interview with Muhammad Qaddafi, the longtime leader of Libya. Mr. Wallace has also produced in-depth, news making profiles of some of the most famous celebrities of our generation – Elizabeth Taylor, Angelina Jolie, Oprah, actor Charlie Sheen and many others.
His award winning investigative reporting took on the Ku Klux Klan and played a significant role in the exoneration of 7 wrongfully incarcerated inmates.
Mr. Wallace has reported from every continent -- traveling literally to the ends of the earth: to the steam sewers beneath Ulan Batar, Mongolia for a report on homeless children; to floating weightless in a NASA jet high above the earth; to diving on a thousand year old ship wreck near Bodrum, Turkey; to journeying for two weeks aboard a Russian ice breaker to the North Pole.
He lives in New Jersey with his wife, two children and their two Golden Retrievers.
