SELECTED CLIPS

I included this page to show some of the styles the I have used to bring a wide range of stories alive.  I always make my directing, writing and editing styles fit the story I am telling.  I hope you enjoy these clips.

The American

Imposter

The opening minutes of this two hour documentary show how the creative use of video, natural sound FX, music and dialogue come together to tell a compelling story in a creative way.  It's fascinating tale executed with imagination. Enjoy the open and the first minutes of Act One!

Hank Williams Jr.

One of my favorite reports, we used Hank Williams Jr.’s own music to tell a classic father and son story.

With correspondent Bob Brown's brilliant writing, the report was an instant classic and, reportedly, inspired the long running VHS series 'Behind the Music'.

Heaven

One of the highest rated shows in recent years, my two-hour ABC News Special with Barbara Walters about Heaven was nominated for multiple awards.

Imagine the challenge here - two hours about a place we could not visit to shoot pictures!

This entertaining short clip is about Heaven in pop culture.

One World Academy

This short film shows a different style as I profiled an ashram in Southern India. Shot with subtle constantly moving cameras and appropriate music, serenity flows off the screen.

The Last Man Out

I am including this short clip from my award winning reporting done in North Vietnam searching for missing POW's left after the end of the Vietnam War. The verite  style is right for this weighty subject.

This clip shows former POW Robert Garwood confronting his captors and verifying his claims that he had seen other American servicemen held long after the end of the war.
